A piece of the action is used a lot in gangster movies where a guy will say he wants some of the profit of an organization. He wants a piece of the action. Listen to how I use it in a phrase.

When you have no hope of getting something or of something happening, we say that does not have a ghost of a chance of happening. We use ghost because it is rare and fading away.
Our idiom today is referring to what some call karma. What goes around comes around. In other words, be careful what you do because your actions will come back to you.
